THE PROJECT

Regenerative tourism proposes an approach that not only respects the environment, but also improves it. The "Positive Tourism Routes" offer nature-based experiences that promote biodiversity, community well-being, and responsible development. This initiative invites both visitors and locals to actively participate in restoring the natural environment and building a more conscious and transformative tourism model for the future.

"Turismo en Positivo" brings together a series of free guided routes through rural, urban, and coastal areas of La Laguna, complemented by activities such as stargazing, trail cleanups, visits to organic farms, and local product tastings. The focus is on regenerative tourism, combining environmental education, well-being, and local development.

LINES OF WORK

Cultural and Natural Heritage

Discovering and valuing the cultural and natural heritage of the municipality will be the greatest guarantee for its conservation. In the program, led by a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences and Official Tourism Guide, we will understand the identity marks of the municipality and its attractiveness at a global tourism level.

2. Local Development

The routes are designed to support the development of the local economy, connecting visitors with producers, artisans, and small sustainable businesses. In this way, local products are promoted, contributing to economic growth and reinforcing the cultural identity of the area.

3. Local and Visitor Connection

An active interaction between visitors and the local community will be promoted, fostering social cohesion. Through collaborative activities, tourists and residents will work together to improve the environment and share knowledge, creating an enriching and beneficial bond for both parties.

4. Active Environmental Protection

The routes will include beach clean-up activities and invasive species control. Participants will help remove waste from coastlines and exotic species that threaten biodiversity. These regenerative actions will allow for the restoration of ecological balance and raise awareness about the importance of caring for the natural environment.

5. Environmental Education and Awareness

Specialized guides will accompany the routes, providing environmental education on local ecosystems and challenges. This awareness will generate greater consciousness in visitors, promoting more responsible tourism committed to the preservation of the natural environment.

6. Connection with Nature and Well-being

The routes offer the opportunity to reconnect with nature, combining physical and mental well-being with environmental regeneration. Participants will enjoy natural beauty while actively contributing to its conservation, reinforcing the balance between personal enjoyment, their mental health, and environmental responsibility.
