… that in Tenerife existed a giant saurian that reached more than one and a half meters? Two mummified fossils were found in the Moraditas ravine. Experts determined the new species and called it Gallotia goliath because of it’s enormous size. The experts suppose that the saurian became extinct because of human interventions and through the introduction of predators by the aborigines.
If you want to learn more, we invite you to visit the Museum of Nature and Man in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where parts of the fossils are exhibited, and where you can find this model of the saurian in it’s real size.
